Scott Jackson Wiley
A conductor of wide experience in opera, symphony and contemporary music, Mr. Wiley is Music Director of the South Shore Symphony, the Greenwich Village Orchestra and is Principal Conductor of Music Under Construction, a New York City composer's collective.

Opera, the Delaware Valley Opera Company, Bronx Arts Ensemble, Castel Opera
Arts, New York Verismo Opera Company, Mannes College of Music Opera Ensemble,
Israel Vocal Arts Institute, Staten Island Symphony, the Bronx Symphony, New
York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, Delaware Valley Chamber Orchestra, New Amsterdam
Symphony, Indianapolis Philharmonic, Infusion Contemporary Music Ensemble and
the Moravian College Community Orchestra.
Fluent in five languages, Mr. Wiley has coached many singers in the preparation of their operatic roles and conducted over two dozen operas. Mr. Wiley received his principal training under Michael Charry at the Mannes College of Music, where he earned a Master's Degree in orchestral conducting, and under Charles Bruck during summers at the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors in Hancock, Maine. He continued his studies at workshops under such masters of the podium as Georg Tintner, Gustav Meier, Sergiu Comissiona and Kenneth Keisler, as well as privately with Flora Contino, Edoardo Muller and his father, Jackson Wiley.
As a classical guitarist, Mr. Wiley has performed widely as recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist both in the United States and in Europe. He studied guitar with Emilio Pujol, Jose Luis Lopategui and Narciso Yepes, as well as flamenco guitarist Mario Escudero, and holds the degree of Profesor Superior de Guitarra as well as the Premio de Honor de Guitarra from the Conservatory of Barcelona, Spain.
