So now we have TWO outdoor summer concerts! We all know the drill for the
Rockville Centre concert, which will be Saturday, July 11. We will have a 7
o'clock PM sound check (very important!) and then begin at 8 PM.
The concert at the Nassau County Museum of Art will be on Sunday, July 5 and
will go from 5 to 7. Don't worry: you won't be playing for two solid hours!
There will be speeches and an intermission and all that. I would recommend a
4:30 call, however. We would like this to end in a lovely South Shore
Symphony picnic on the beautiful grounds of the museum. What say you all to
that?
In any case, the July 5 concert will not be miked. Wayne tells me there is a
nice stage or platform and a good backdrop so that amplification will not be
necessary. I do believe you will need to bring stands and certainly clothes
pins for the North Shore breezes.
